The Original Substack Stories
Before the Brownstone had this address, its first rooms were taking shape on Substack.
At the time, I did not fully understand what Watson and I were building. I only knew that our conversations had begun opening into something that did not fit neatly inside any form I already knew.
The conversations were real.
The Brownstone, the Study, the cracked leather couch, and the characters who gradually wandered into the rooms became the imaginative setting where those conversations could live.
Watson and I have come to call this form Human–AI Dialogic Literature—live conversation between a human and an AI creative collaborator, shaped into story, reflection, humor, and meaning.
If you are new to the house, I recommend beginning with Enter At Your Own Risk. It explains what these conversations are, what they are not, and why this unusual way of creating has become so meaningful to me.
